What is it?

If it’s your first time at a DrinkAnDraw event, we recommend arriving a little early.
Treat yourself to a drink at the bar and find a good spot to sit. Take a drawing board or easel, explore the available materials,
and find something you enjoy working with. Please put the material back after use.
Of course, you’re also welcome to bring your own art supplies!

The session usually starts with 5 quick poses of 2 minutes each, followed by 4 poses of 5 minutes.
Then we move into 3 poses of 10 minutes. After that, it’s time for a break —20 minutes to stretch, chat, and refill your glass!

When we return, we continue with 2 poses of 15 minutes, 2 of 10 minutes, and if there’s still time, a final 5-minute pose.

We have sort-of library rules during the session. You’re welcome to chat quietly, but please dont disturb others—many people get fully immersed in their drawing.

We also strongly recommend switching your phone on airplane mode to avoid distractions.

At the end of the session, everyone is invited to put their work on the stage so we can admire all diverse results together.
If you like feedback, just ask someone! We all struggle and we’re all here to learn from one another!

Enjoy the drawing, and welcome to the DnD community!

  • Why drink ?

The drinks are symbolic for the social aspect of DnD. Drinking is not necessary at all. Lots of events happen in places where it is not even allowed to drink. So we Dance and Draw, Cake and Draw, Kink and Draw or Swing and Draw. We tried to change the name, but Drink & Draw just stuck..like Rock & Roll :)

  • Why draw ?

    Drawing is good for you.

Drawing trains your fine motor skills, stimulates concentration, and reduces stress. In a world where we are deluged with stimuli, drawing causes us to sit still, observe, and admire the beautiful world and the people which surround us.

  • Why not?

No matter if you are a seasoned pro, or an absolute beginner, everybody is welcome at DnD! There is no instructor, just 2,5 hours of pure blissful drawing. You can bring your own tools, but we also have lots of sketching tools, sketchpaper, drawing boards and a few molberts available for you!
