About The Event

Belarus, Europe's last dictatorship, is an authoritarian state in which elections are openly rigged and civil liberties are severely restricted. Many people who resist, protest or criticize their government are being prisoned.
It is of utmost importance for the Belarusians to rise up again and for Belarus to become a free country finally. On the 25th of March it is Belarus's unoffical Freedom Day.
To celebrate and support the people of Belarus, we will organise a specially themed Drink & Draw session in Sveta Baar.
There will be one female model from Belarus dressed in the national costume and one posing classic nude.
All income of this event will be donated to Säber, an Estonian / Belarusian iniative aiming to take care of the well-being of the political prisoners and their left behind families.
All skill levels are welcome! This is not an art-class, there is no instructor, but a fun and friendly opportunity for you to draw, with your fellow friends and artists.
After the drawing session and during the break we encourage you to to share your works with the group!
This is a TANKER session!
All TANKER drinks can be bought at the bar with 10% discount!
You can bring your own art gear. But we also have sketch materials provided by Kunst ja Hobi. There are artboards and molberts to draw on and there is a pile of sketch papers for the forget full minded!

We'll be doing this project together with JEF (the young european federalists) an organization which advocates for more democracy and a better EU.
Since years we have been implementing a campaign called Democracy Under Pressure, to remember that not everybody has the chance to live under a democracy and to help people who are fighting for it at our scale.
Belarus is an important focus as the return to a full democracy is far from happening. JEF previously has helped Belarus people by communicating about their freedom fight.
See you at Sveta!
